Welcome to the BrightGauge Enhancement Forums

The Enhancement Forums is one of several listening posts used to bring enhancement ideas to the ConnectWise Product Management Team. We utilize information from support tickets, information gathered from our onsite Consulting Team and our Sales Team during the sales process, as well as one-on-one or group discussions with our partners.

Do you have an enhancement you want to suggest or have you come across an enhancement you would like our Product Management Team to review?  Vote and leave a comment.  The more information gathered on the enhancement, the easier it is to make the case to the Product Management Team. The Product Management team automatically reviews enhancements with 250 votes or more and we will provide any updates to that enhancement as they become available.

Product Catalog should count all products

Kim Martinez 1 year ago 0

I was just informed that when using the Products dataset "Only products updated in the last 24 months will be represented." and "we focus on products that are actively being used. This means that we only include products that are associated with a ticket, agreement, or sales order"

This makes no sense to me. I'm looking to create a snapshot gauge so I can see at a glance how many products I have, and see the same data by category and subcategory, so we can keep the product catalog clean. Since this dataset does not include all the products in the product catalog (not even all the active ones) it would be incomplete.

Gauge search info: Add last used to ID gauges that have not been used in X months.

Dustin Morse 1 year ago 0

We have over 30 pages of gauges and 10 people across the organization that are creating gauges (Leadership, Directors, Managers). I can guarantee that there are duplicated gauges and gauges that were created years ago that haven't been used.

I know I can filter by unused as well as last updated but that doesn't give the full picture. It could have been last modified and last used a week ago.

I want to be able to filter based off last maintained AND last used (on a Dashboard/Report/Goal) was 6+ months ago. Having a last used field that would be updated daily would be beneficial.

Add Notes, OS Type, OS Info, and Last Login Name fields from CW Configuration to the Configuration Dataset in BrightGauge

Chi Pakenham 1 year ago 0

I submitted a support request and was informed the following:

'Notes' field is not available in the API endpoints we currently use in BrightGauge. Unfortunately, we are unable to report on the OS Type, OS Info, and Last Login Name fields with the Cloud integration at this time. The data we pull regarding configuration details does not include these OS fields, so we cannot add them to the dataset(s).

It would be great that I could pull the data point as our clients are requesting those data points.

Format Axis to match Dataset Design

Jill Williams 2 years ago 0

We would like to be able to format the X- or Y-Axis in our chart graph gauges to match the Dataset design - if it's set as a % or $, to be able to format the axis to be the same.  For example currently, if we are using a % for data across a period of time, we have a 0 to 1 scale on the Y-axis and the time on the X-Axis.  This causes some confusion for clients or colleagues who may be viewing the gauge.

Include created_by field in CW Manage Invoice Data dataset

Kev Penny 2 years ago 0

The Invoice Data dataset contains fields like updated_by and adjusted_by, but not created_by, which seems like a big oversight. We need to be able to report on who created invoices, and the workaround we've been given is to create a custom field, which would rely on someone manually setting that every time they create an invoice.

Report Page Export Option

Nex-Tech TSG - Tony Anthony 2 years ago updated by Prithviraj Patil 2 years ago 1

The reports page currently has very limited sorting and search functions. While these features are being enhanced could we please get an option to export the data on the page? We can then work with the data in excel to find what we are looking for.

Examples:

  • Hard to find customers when there are hundreds for reports.
  • Counting reports when they fail to generate.

Blocked Patching report

Jeremy Jones 1 month ago 0

I would like the ability to have a gauge that would show which/how many servers have blocked patches. As we get into a more security focused world, some of our clients would like to know what servers did not have patches applied due to being blocked.

Add Resource/Team Member/Ticket Owner in the Project Survey Responses Dataset

Carrie Malone 3 months ago 0

It would be very beneficial to be able to report on the team members that are receiving project surveys-  similar to the way that you can report on this from a CSAT perspective.

Folders to manage and sort dashboards

Vincent Toussaint 4 months ago updated by Shannon Gomes 4 months ago 1

We have more than 100 dashboards and it is not easy to navigate and fin the one we are looking for. We do use the search and add some dashboard in "favorites" to keep them on top of the list, but having a folder structure would be much better.

There's a related post, in this forum, about hidding dashboards from the drop down list.  Having folder would solve this as unused dashboard created by Brightgauge could be moved to a specific folder.
