Welcome to the BrightGauge Enhancement Forums
The Enhancement Forums is one of several listening posts used to bring enhancement ideas to the ConnectWise Product Management Team. We utilize information from support tickets, information gathered from our onsite Consulting Team and our Sales Team during the sales process, as well as one-on-one or group discussions with our partners.
Do you have an enhancement you want to suggest or have you come across an enhancement you would like our Product Management Team to review? Vote and leave a comment. The more information gathered on the enhancement, the easier it is to make the case to the Product Management Team. The Product Management team automatically reviews enhancements with 250 votes or more and we will provide any updates to that enhancement as they become available.

Soft label for drilldown fields
It would be so useful to apply a soft label to all fields, so that when we use them in Drilldown they always default to that soft label.
Ideally we can then overwrite that default soft label on a case by case basis
I'm currently working through a task to standardise our drilldown list, which means manually updating the soft label across hundreds of gauges, it's very painful
Ability to copy or template Drilldown fields
It would save a lot of time if we could copy or template the drilldown fields in gauges. There are a few ways I could see this being useful
Default drilldown field list linked to dataset. Code in a list of the most commonly used fields in a dataset drilldown, and default these in the first tab of any new gauge created using that dataset- The ability to template drilldown fields and import them to a gauge.
- The ability to copy the drilldown fields from another tab in the same gauge
Report Page Export Option
The reports page currently has very limited sorting and search functions. While these features are being enhanced could we please get an option to export the data on the page? We can then work with the data in excel to find what we are looking for.
Examples:
- Hard to find customers when there are hundreds for reports.
- Counting reports when they fail to generate.
Allow Global Filters
At the moment, filters are unique to a report or dashboard. It would be a significant time saver to allow global filters that can be imported or added to reports or dashboards. We have account managers that manage a certain subset of accounts, and manually creating and maintaining these filters is already unmanageable before we hit scale.
N-Able Cove Data Protection Integration
Summary:
Requesting a native integration between Cove Data Protection and BrightGauge to enable direct reporting and dashboarding of backup metrics within BrightGauge.
Business Need:
As an MSP, centralized reporting is critical for proactive monitoring, SLA tracking, and executive-level visibility.
Requested Functionality:
-
API-based data sync between Cove and BrightGauge
-
Visibility into backup status (success/failure), last backup time, and device health
-
Storage utilization and growth reporting
-
Alerting metrics for failed or overdue backups
-
Client-level and global reporting support
Send a report from Brightgauge as a Spreadsheet
Why can't we send reports with the data as an attachment in the csv or xlsx format? This is much more helpful in some cases than PDF.
Folders to manage and sort dashboards
We have more than 100 dashboards and it is not easy to navigate and fin the one we are looking for. We do use the search and add some dashboard in "favorites" to keep them on top of the list, but having a folder structure would be much better.
There's a related post, in this forum, about hidding dashboards from the drop down list. Having folder would solve this as unused dashboard created by Brightgauge could be moved to a specific folder.
Add Project Team/Project Resources to Project Statistics dataset
There is no "project team" or "assigned resources" data in the Project Statistics dataset. We can filter by resource list in the Project Phase and Tickets dataset, but this doesn't contain all of the same data as Project Statistics (i.e. overall budget).
Brightgauge Datasets for NinjaOne Warranty and Backup Information
As one of the primary RMMs and the fact that BrightGauge has numerous datasets created for NinjaOne already, it makes zero sense that two of the most important features, Warranty and Backup, have not been created. This is an enormous red flag for the BG APIs.
