BrightGauge Tab Naming Improvement

Andy Skrzypczak 1 year ago updated by Fred Rioux 3 weeks ago 2

If you have a number gauge that has several tabs that are hidden and used to create calculations, the names of the tabs are just displayed as generic names, like "query1_amount_sum" or "calc_metric_1". It's frustrating trying to remember what the tabs are actually for, so you have to "unhide" them to seeing what they actually do.

Can you work on the ability to name the layers as they are displayed along the left side panel (see #2)?

This would be EXTREMELY helpful!

I completely understand, Andy, and it's very frustrating because I've been mentioning this issue to BrightGauge for years and it's still unresolved.

Moreover, if layers are moved and those layers were used in Calculated Metrics, it becomes extremely difficult to delete a layer, because it gets renamed and we lose track of it.

Because of this issue, I have several gauges from which it's impossible to remove layers, whenever I try, it breaks the gauge.

Layer indexing is a major problem.
